Property Accountant

Potential Compensation: $90,000 to $115,000

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of residential properties.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, tenant ledgers, and general ledger accounts.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Monitor and report on property budgets, variances, and forecasts.
  • Assist with annual audits and tax preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Collaborate with property managers to resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records in Yardi and App Folio systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of similar experience in residential real estate.
  • Proficiency in Yardi and App Folio.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and property management accounting practices.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with Excel and other financial reporting tools.
  • CPA or progress toward CPA certification.
