Senior Tax Accountant - Estate & Trust

A well established and growing public accounting firm with a team that cares about their people is hiring a Senior Tax Accountant with Estate and Trust expertise to join their tax practice.

Chicago, IL | In-Person | $100,000 - $110,000 /yr | Full-Time

What You’ll Do:

• Consult with closely held business and individual clients on financial and tax planning matters
• Prepare tax returns, including consolidated or multi state business returns, complex pass through entities, and complex individuals
• Research all aspects of estate and trust engagements, from planning through compliance and reporting
• Review trust agreements and wills to determine appropriate filings and estate structure
• Complete monthly and quarterly accounting projects at client locations
• Coach and mentor team members while building your own client relationships
• Identify opportunities to improve assignment profitability and efficiency

What You Bring:

• 3+ years of current public accounting experience
• Experience preparing Form 1041 Fiduciary Income tax returns
• Experience preparing Form 709 Gift Tax returns
• Experience preparing Form 706 Estate Tax returns
• Experience preparing Deceased Taxpayer Income Tax returns
• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification, or actively working toward it
• Proficiency with tax software, MS Office, and working knowledge of Quick Books
