A well established and growing public accounting firm with a team that cares about their people is hiring a Senior Tax Accountant with Estate and Trust expertise to join their tax practice.
Chicago, IL | In-Person | $100,000 - $110,000 /yr | Full-Time
What You’ll Do:
- Consult with closely held business and individual clients on financial and tax planning matters
- Prepare tax returns, including consolidated or multi state business returns, complex pass through entities, and complex individuals
- Research all aspects of estate and trust engagements, from planning through compliance and reporting
- Review trust agreements and wills to determine appropriate filings and estate structure
- Complete monthly and quarterly accounting projects at client locations
- Coach and mentor team members while building your own client relationships
- Identify opportunities to improve assignment profitability and efficiency
What You Bring:
- 3+ years of current public accounting experience
- Experience preparing Form 1041 Fiduciary Income tax returns
- Experience preparing Form 709 Gift Tax returns
- Experience preparing Form 706 Estate Tax returns
- Experience preparing Deceased Taxpayer Income Tax returns
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification, or actively working toward it
- Proficiency with tax software, MS Office, and working knowledge of Quick Books
