Tax Senior

Tax Senior | Hybrid (Fridays remote) | $100,000 to $140,000 base + bonus

The short version: A boutique CPA firm with an unusually sophisticated client base is hiring a Tax Senior. Three to seven years of experience, and you will see more in your first year here than in three years at a large firm.

This firm handles tax and audit for a client roster anchored by a nationally recognized law firm and its partners, alongside privately held businesses across construction, real estate, and staffing. Your day to day includes:

• Multi-state partnership returns, including an investment partnership group with roughly 100 K-1s and 200+ partners
• High net worth 1040s, trust returns, and private foundation filings
• Business returns for construction and real estate clients
• Tax and audit work for a large temporary labor services company filing in 49 states
• A variety of smaller entity work that rounds out your technical range

• Exposure, fast. Partnerships, individuals, trusts, foundations, and multi-state, all in the same year. Most seniors get one of those.
• You are not a cog. Small firm means direct client contact, direct partner feedback, and real ownership of the returns you touch.
• A visible path. Manager is a promotion here, not a queue. The firm promotes from within because it has to.
• Real flexibility. Fridays from home, every week.
• The package: $100,000 to $140,000 base, discretionary bonuses, 401(k) match, strong insurance, and 4 weeks PTO.

• 3 to 7 years of public accounting tax experience
• CPA or actively pursuing it
• Solid 1065 and 1040 skills, multi-state exposure preferred
• Trust, foundation, or investment partnership experience is a strong plus but not required

You are a senior at a national, regional, or local firm who is technically sharp and wants a broader book and a shorter path up. You want to learn from partners directly instead of from a training module.
