Audit Manager – Public Accounting | Hybrid | $120,000 to $160,000 + Bonus/Benefits

A well-established public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join its growing assurance practice. This is a strong opportunity for a seasoned audit professional to take on engagement leadership across a diverse client base, while working in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

About the Role

The Audit Manager will oversee audit engagements from planning through completion, manage client relationships, and play a key role in developing staff. This role offers significant ownership of engagements along with exposure to a broad range of industries.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute audit, review, and compilation engagements across multiple industries
  • Oversee fieldwork and ensure engagements are completed on time and within budget
  • Review work papers, financial statements, and disclosures prepared by staff
  • Identify accounting and auditing issues, research applicable standards (GAAP/GAAS), and develop solutions
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Supervise, train, and mentor audit staff and senior associates
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and firm leadership
  • Identify opportunities for additional client services and process improvements
  • Stay current on accounting standards, auditing requirements, and industry developments

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license required
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
  • Experience managing audit engagements across multiple industries within a public accounting environment
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and staff development experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
