Tax Supervisor

Withum’s Tax Services Group is made up of a brilliant team of tax specialists that work to ensure tax reporting obligations are met accurately and timely while minimizing or deferring the payment of taxes. The Tax Supervisor role will be based out of one of our offices in Lincolnshire, IL;
East Brunswick, NJ;
Princeton, NJ;
Red Bank, NJ; or Whippany, NJ, and you will work alongside seasoned CPAs and industry leaders.

• Preparing complex C corp., S corp., and partnership income tax returns
• Preparing high‑net‑worth individual returns
• Reviewing mid‑level complexity C corp., S corp., and partnership income tax returns
• Reviewing mid‑level complexity individual returns
• Researching and drafting memorandum involving complex tax matters
• Identifying tax planning opportunities
• Handling and resolving tax controversies
• Training and supervising staff accountants

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Licensed CPA, or working towards CPA certification with parts passed
• Master’s of Science in Taxation is preferred but not required
• At least 4 years of public accounting experience
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client’s management
• Excellent analytical, organizational, project‑management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovative problem‑solving skills
• Ability to travel as needed

The compensation ranges for this position are noted below. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications. Chicago – $100,000 – $135,000

New Jersey – $85,000 – $175,000
