Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an accounting clerk to support day-to-day financial operations. This position is suited for a detail-focused individual who can manage billing, payment activity, and account reconciliation while contributing to a collaborative accounting team. The role also includes assisting with payroll coverage and supporting routine reporting and month-end accounting tasks. Candidates with a strong foundation in transactional accounting and advanced Excel capabilities will be well positioned for success.

Responsibilities:

• Create and issue customer billing documents accurately and on schedule, ensuring invoice records remain complete and up to date.
• Post incoming customer payments, apply receipts to the appropriate accounts, and maintain organized accounts receivable documentation.
• Review and enter vendor invoices, prepare payment requests, and confirm that expenses are coded correctly and approved before processing.
• Reconcile receivable and payable balances, investigate inconsistencies, and help resolve questions related to account activity.
• Provide backup assistance for payroll administration by reviewing payroll details, maintaining supporting records, and responding to routine payroll inquiries.
• Use accounting systems and Excel-based tracking tools to preserve accurate financial data and assist with internal reporting needs.
• Contribute to month-end close activities by preparing supporting information and helping complete general accounting assignments as needed.
