Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountantor  Accounting Analyst plays a critical role inmaintainingaccuratefinancial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards within a fast-pacedtech-enabledmarketingagency. This position contributes to expense tracking, job/project accounting, financial reporting,tax compliance,and process improvement. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills and understands the unique financial workflows of an agency; project-based billing, WIP, pass-through costs, time tracking, and client-based revenue cycles.

• Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process to ensureaccurateandtimelyfinancial reporting.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analyses.
• Fixed assets management, including assets proposal, disposal and assets roll forward reporting
• Responsibleforbankmatching and reconciliation
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure consistent application of GAAP and internal accounting policies.

• Process vendor invoices, match POs,reconcilevendor payment,and ensure proper coding to jobs and cost centers.
• Support the Employee and Credit Card workflow and reimbursementreview and approvalprocess.

• Prepare financial schedules, supporting documentation, and management reportsas needed
• Provide data and insights during audits and internal reviews.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and industry standards.
• Support audit preparation andparticipatein externalfinancialsauditsand taxauditsasrequired.
• Maintain Sales and Use and other tax registrations and monitor correspondenceson a regular basis

• 2+years oftax and/or accounting related experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting practices.
• Experience with project-based accounting, WIP, and client billing.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems (Net Suite,Workamajig,Deltek, Intacct, or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred.
• CPA track or certification preferred.
• Familiarity with time-tracking and project management systems preferred.

In accordance with applicable pay-transparency laws, the compensation range for this role reflects a good-faith estimate based on factors including internal equity, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and market data. Final compensation will be determined at the time of offer. Range: $75,000-$80,000- USD annually.
