Senior Manager, US Accounting

BMO Financial is seeking a Senior Manager, US Accounting to lead key accounting operations for its U.S. businesses. In this role, you will oversee US GAAP reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial controls, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in a regulated environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners in Finance, Tax, and Audit to support strategic initiatives, while driving process improvements and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead US accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely US GAAP reporting
• Oversee month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Review financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports
• Partner with Finance, Tax, and Audit to support strategic initiatives and reviews
• Drive process improvements, automation, and accounting policy consistency
• Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting team
• Support audits and examinations by internal and external stakeholders
