Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager | Hybrid | $130,000 to $180,000 + Bonus/Benefits
A growing public accounting firm is looking to add a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to its team. This is an opportunity to work closely with clients, take ownership of complex tax engagements, and play a meaningful role in developing both client relationships and the next generation of tax professionals.
Responsibilities- Manage and review federal, state, and local tax compliance engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Oversee the preparation and review of partnership, S corporation, individual, and corporate tax returns.
- Provide tax planning, research, and consulting services to help clients identify opportunities and navigate complex tax matters.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, communicating recommendations and addressing questions throughout the year.
- Review tax provisions, estimates, extensions, and other technical deliverables as applicable.
- Identify potential risks, research tax issues, and stay current on changes in tax law.
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff and senior tax professionals.
- Assist with business development, client proposals, and expanding existing client relationships.
- Collaborate with partners and other service lines on complex client needs and special projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA license.
- 5+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience for a Manager-level role, with additional experience preferred for a Senior Manager position.
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for a variety of entity types.
- Solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations, tax research, and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing multiple engagements, meeting deadlines, and communicating directly with clients.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supervising or mentoring tax professionals.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with partners and team members.
