Our client is a rapidly growing non-for-profit organization who are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. They have enjoyed incredible success in the last few years' and are seeking a candidate with a strong Accounting background to join their team as they continue their expansion.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

• The Senior Accountant will compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
• Assisting/guiding other team members when needed- 6 other people on the team.
• Working hand-in-hand with the CFO and assisting with audits, budgets, etc.
• The Senior Accountant will also handle month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
• Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital.
• Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
• Prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to monthly close process.
• Establish, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:

• BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration highly preferred but not required
• Non-Profit is a HUGE plus
• 3+ years General Accounting
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
