Accounting Manager | Hybrid | Chicago, IL

LHH is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization to identify an Accounting Manager for a highly visible leadership role. This position offers direct exposure to executive leadership, the opportunity to lead a small accounting team, and a clear path for long-term growth.

Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)

Travel: Quarterly travel to a Midwest manufacturing facility

Key Responsibilities

Lead month-end close and financial reporting
Prepare and analyze financial statements
Oversee inventory and manufacturing accounting functions
Manage and mentor a small accounting team
Partner with leadership on process improvements and business initiatives
Support audits and internal controls

Required Qualifications

7+ years of accounting experience
3+ years of public accounting audit experience
Manufacturing accounting experience
Inventory accounting experience (raw materials, WIP, and finished goods)
Prior accounting leadership experience
Experience in small to mid-sized organizations
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
Proven month-end close leadership
Financial statement preparation and analysis experience
