These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, following the mission, values, and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and guests.

GENERAL SUMMARY
:
The receptionist manages the front desk on a daily basis and performs a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

DESCRIPTION
:
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments, check in clients, maintain records and accounts.
  • Welcome patients and visitors in persons or on the telephone and answering or referring inquiries.
  • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording and updating personal and financial information.
  • Maintain business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory levels and anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge:
    University/college degree is an asset, familiarity with phone systems, previous experience with Microsoft Office Software preferred.
  • Skills:

    Flexibility, customer service, attention to detail, scheduling, professionalism, quality focus.
  • Abilities:
    Multitasking, time management, organization.
