Overview
A Cook County Tax Data Examiner, with respect to the Property Insight Title Tax Team, will be responsible for performing examination of records from the Cook County Tax Collector/Treasurer, Clerk, and Assessor data using the County websites and records at the County Office in Cook County IL.
Duties- Working with the Tax Team to complete Full Tax Research of the County records, both online and at the County Offices.
- Be able to complete the necessary work using the Title Point Tax Maintenance application.
- Conduct research and collect data which will be used to complete and release customer orders in a timely manner.
- Work closely with colleagues to complete the daily work.
- Ensure high quality data is collected and integrity of the data that is released to the customers.
- Conceptualization of data and sharing this knowledge through effective presentation of the data output with the rest of your team.
- Be able to work within the County Office rules to ensure that the entire team can continue to access the records
- Day-to-day tasks will be Customer Order driven and priorities will be based on business needs. The following is a list of current tasks and proficiencies that are necessary.
- Analyze historical and go forward data for input into a Tax Order system that tracks the various pieces required to be completed before the order can be released.
- Having the ability to summarize the County Tax Records on paper in the County Offices prior to data-entering the information into the system.
- Responding to customer email questions in a timely manner.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience- Experience in County Property Taxes.
- Title insurance industry knowledge, specifically with tax data is a plus.
- The ability to work in a County Office Professional setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Knowledge and ability to write professional emails.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
