Job DescriptionOur client is seeking a polished and dependable Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for their Chicago office. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a front-facing position, enjoys interacting with a wide range of personalities, and can confidently manage a busy phone line while supporting daily office operations.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary front desk presence, welcoming guests and coordinating with building security
- Manage a high volume of incoming phone calls, including screening, routing, and message-taking
- Maintain a professional and organized reception area and lobby
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages (USPS, Fed Ex, UPS)
- Coordinate conference room scheduling and ensure rooms are presentable for meetings
- Restock office supplies, kitchen items, and shared areas as needed
- Provide administrative support such as scanning, filing, copying, and data entry
- Assist with office events, meetings, and weekly lunches
- Support expense processing, travel coordination, and internal requests
- Troubleshoot basic conference room technology when needed
- Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or office support role
- Strong communication skills with a professional, customer-focused demeanor
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience using multi-line phone systems and standard office equipment
- Ability to remain calm and composed when working with diverse personalities
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Position is fully on-site
- Business or smart-casual dress code (no jeans)
