Position: Legal Executive Assistant | Partner OR Executive Level Support Experience Required

A large, global law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Executive Assistant to provide executive support to two partners in its Chicago office. This role has a refined, corporate-focused scope and is intended for an experienced legal or corporate professional who operates as a trusted executive partner.

The experienced Legal Executive Assistant will support day-to-day practice operations, attorney priorities, and team coordination within an established structure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive-level administrative support to two partners with differing working styles
  • Manage calendars, scheduling, priorities, and follow-ups with sound judgment and discretion
  • Prepare for and support internal and external meetings, including coordination of agendas and materials
  • Provide administrative support related to recruiting efforts and interview coordination
  • Support team coordination and practice-related projects as needed
  • Serve as a liaison between attorneys, internal teams, and external contacts
  • Draft, proofread, and finalize correspondence, presentations, and business materials
  • Coordinate travel, expenses, and time entry in collaboration with internal support teams
  • Maintain organization and accuracy of information, materials, and work product
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience specifically as an executive legal assistant in a large law firm or professional services organization (Think BIG FOUR, for example)
  • 5+ years of experience supporting law firm partners or executives within a professional services organization (Think BIG FOUR, for example)
  • Strong judgment, professionalism, and discretion with confidential matters
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing competing priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and virtual collaboration tools
Schedule & Compensation
  • Salary range: $88,000–$117,000
  • Workweek: 37.5 hours
  • Onsite requirement: Fully onsite for the first 30–90 days, depending on ramp-up and performance
  • Post-ramp: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
