Salary: The rate of pay for this position is $ per hour.
The Library of the Health Sciences at Peoria is looking for an Extra Help Employee to assist with day-to-day circulation/ILL tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities- Charges and discharges items, including Reserve materials.
- Searches for missing books and other library materials.
- Shelves discharged material; keeps shelves in order; clears desks, tables, etc. of library materials.
- Assist with interlibrary loan and document delivery request for library materials.
- Performs routine searching of records, catalogs, or bibliographies.
- Answers the telephone and answers general informational questions.
- Performs clerical duties, such as filing in internal library work files; prepares books, journals, documents, manuscripts, and other material for shelves; records receipt of material; matches purchased items to the outstanding order file.
- Assists with special projects related to library collections and archives.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Previous library work experience, substantial experience in using a library, experience in a work setting dealing with customers and computers, or overall GPA of
