CIRCUIT COURT OF COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS

Job Title:
Juvenile Redeploy Special Assistant

Pay Grade: 16;
Non-Union; FSLA exempt

Salary: $60,520

Location:

1100 South Hamilton, Chicago or as assigned

Applications are now being accepted for the position of Redeploy Special Assistant within the Juvenile Redeploy Program, Office of the Chief Judge. The Special Assistant will be responsible for assisting with all matters related to the support of the Juvenile Redeploy Program. The Special Assistant will report to the Juvenile Redeploy Director.

Responsibilities
  • Receive assignments from the Redeploy Director and Redeploy Managers as it relates to support of the Redeploy Program. These duties include but are not limited to:
  • Making copies of reports, memorandums, statistics, etc.
  • Typing memorandums, proposals, projects
  • Creating presentations using Powerpoint or Publisher
  • Scheduling staffings and meetings
  • Creating Zoom and TEAMS meeting links
  • Creating spreadsheets or databases
  • Assist in reviewing invoices from providers for accuracy
  • Working with various internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis to navigate issues
  • Entering data into various software, including provided case management systems from the County and State, Excel, Access
  • Proof and edit all assignments prior to submission
  • Generate reports needed by staff or supervisory personnel
  • Assist in planning events and coordinating logistics
  • Completion of work orders, BOT requests, etc.
  • Answering telephone calls and relaying messages
  • Maintaining confidentiality as dictated by the Illinois Juvenile Court Act/ Conform to the Code of Ethics
  • Phoning clients to remind of appointments/court appearances
  • Requesting of records from various sources for use by the Redeploy staff
  • Order supplies for staff
  • Complete hospitality and room set-up request forms
  • Participate in a minimum of 10 hours of professional training annually
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED. Associates Degree preferred, but not required.
  • Possess exceptional organizational skills with ability to work independently.
  • Possess ability to enter data and generate reports.
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication.
  • Possess demonstrable experience in Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to listen to audio recordings and transcribe the content into formatted, professional quality wordprocessed documents.
  • Have a record of punctual, reliable attendance
  • Physical Requirements
  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Be available to work in-person 100% of the scheduled work week.
  • Be able to walk for short distances and climb stairs.
  • Ability to intermittently twist to reach equipment and supplies.
  • Be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time.
  • Perform simple grasping and fine manipulation.
  • Be able to use a telephone and computer keyboard on a daily basis.
  • This position requires a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
