Position SummaryAdministrative Assistant to provide assistance for the Summer School Principal during the program to be run June and July. This includes, but is not limited to, organizing files, preparing documents, managing spreadsheets, answering summer school inquiries, and other duties as assigned. The role is a temporary voucher position.
Qualifications- Proficient in typing (45 wpm) and experienced in general computer programs such as Word and Excel.
- Ability to operate office equipment, do basic data entry, and maintain records and scheduling.
- Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact constructively with others.
Summer School Principal
Knowledge and Skills- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as correspondence, surveys, and electronic media.
- Ability to write professional communications.
- Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from individuals and groups.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and community members.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in written form.
- Ability to complete mathematical operations and apply basic mathematics concepts.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Ability to maintain current job skills as directed, especially in technology-related activities.
- Ability to perform essential duties with awareness of school district requirements and School Board policies.

- Employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
- Employee frequently required to stand, walk, operate duplicating machines and computer equipment; reach with hands and arms; and repeat actions such as typing.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, ability to adjust focus, and ability to withstand long-term use of video display terminals (VDT).
- Employee may occasionally lift up to 30 pounds such as reference books.
- Noise level is usually moderate.
- Pace of work is fast.
- Work is usually conducted at one job site; occasionally employee requires attendance at meetings, conferences, workshops, and events at other sites.
