Job Summary
The E-biller works to accurately upload invoices to E-billing portals with proper documentation to ensure successful collection of monies owed. The E-biller is additionally responsible for processing all appeals for deductions and rejections in a timely manner and in compliance with any contractual billing guidelines. Additionally responsible for providing billing guidance, training, and assistance to all staff on an as needed/as requested basis.
PrimaryJob Responsibilities
- Processing of proforma approvals and finalizations
- Manual and or LEDES uploading of invoices to portals (LX and/or T360)
- Retainer Application
- Set up and application of taxes
- Invoice returns, revisions, reissues
- Pulling receipts to document expenditures
- Use of fixer tool as required
- Other tasks as requested
- 1 year of ebilling in a similar role
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
- 55+ WPM keyboarding and alphanumerical speed
- Excellent attention to detail, organization and time management skills
- Ability to multitask
- Basic understanding of AR/AP finance functions
- Interpersonal and customer service skills, both verbal and written
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
- Identifies issues and opportunities, providing action ideas or escalating as appropriate
- Ale to identify, research and resolve billing variances to maintain system accuracy
High school diploma or equivalent.
Working ConditionsWork is generally performed in a typical office environment, with limited exposure to harsh weather conditions, loud internal or external noise, fumes, or significant temperature changes. Minimal, occasional travel may be required.
Physical Activities and RequirementsWork can involve lifting and carrying up to 10–20lbs.; frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching; occasional kneeling and stooping; operating office equipment; periodic driving likely; visual acuity to prepare, read, and organize detailed hard copy and electronic documents; ability to speak and to hear the spoken word in normal face‑to‑face, telephonic, and web‑based business communications.
Work LocationLocal to the general Chicago, IL area preferred but not required. Remote/in office hybrid environment.
