Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Assistant Property Manager who is committed to a long‑term career in property management. The ideal candidate will be an analytical thinker with exceptional organizational skills and a strong eagerness to learn. Success in this role requires thriving in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. The position works alongside a team of Assistant Property Managers, Leasing Agents, and Maintenance Technicians.

- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous property management or real‑estate experience preferred.
- General maintenance knowledge is a plus.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- College degree preferred.
- Must have basic computer knowledge.
- Must be tech savvy in navigating and utilizing various project management software – we work with G Suite, Microsoft Office, Dropbox, Buildium, Asana, and T‑Sheets (Quick Books – Intuit).
- Manage a portfolio of assigned properties scattered across Chicago.
- Collaborate with a team of Assistant Property Managers.
- Responsible for maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Ensure residents and property owners are genuinely satisfied.
- Work closely with the in‑house Maintenance Technician Team when coordinating daily work order tickets for all interior and exterior building repairs.
- Assist with arranging all move‑in/move‑outs.
- Maintain a positive tenant relations attitude.
- Manage tenant communications to include service repair requests.
- Communicate with outside vendors and contractors.
- Assist with onboarding new properties.
- Follow checklists and procedures implemented by upper management.
- Update required reports concerning move‑out notices, activity, etc., on a daily basis, and provide information to the Operations Team.
- Organize and file all applicable reports, leases, and paperwork.
- Address and resolve resident complaints and concerns to maintain good tenant relations.
- Interact with tenants regarding maintenance requests.
- Occasionally visit the property sites to perform general inspections.
- Periodically answer after‑hours phone calls to coordinate maintenance emergencies.
- Full‑time position.
- Monday‑Friday in‑office, including one work‑from‑home day per week.
- Salary pay based on experience.
- 401(k): 3% employee contribution / we match 3%; we also match up to 4% on employee contributions of 5%.
- Blue Cross Blue Shield medical insurance: employee pays 50% and employer pays 50%.
- Blue Cross Blue Shield dental insurance: employee pays 100%.
