Position Title:

Sales Coordinator

Pay Range: $22.00 to $27.00

Job Summary

Lincoln Park Zoo is seeking an organized and guest‑focused Sales Coordinator & Administrative Support professional to support sales, event coordination, and daily administrative operations. This role plays a key part in delivering exceptional service for private dining, group events, and restaurant functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to incoming calls and inquiries with a professional, client‑focused approach.
  • Support event sales efforts by assisting with proposals, contracts, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Coordinate event details with operations and culinary teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, bookings, and sales activity.
  • Assist in driving revenue through effective follow‑up and upselling opportunities.
Administrative & Financial Support
  • Perform clerical duties to support sales and operations teams.
  • Process and reconcile daily sales, deposits, and cash reports.
  • Maintain organized and confidential personnel and business files.
Operational Support
  • Assist management with staffing coordination, including last‑minute coverage needs.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with team members and leadership.
  • Ensure accurate communication of event details across departments.
  • Support a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Attend trainings and meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience in hospitality, catering, restaurant sales, or administrative support preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; POS or event systems experience a plus.
  • High attention to detail, especially with financial data.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
