Compliance Paralegal (Temporary)
Location: Remote
Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
Job Type: Contract (2+ months)
OverviewA well-established national organization is seeking a Temporary Compliance Paralegal to support its legal and compliance team. This role is focused on campaign finance filings, regulatory compliance, and CLE tracking, and offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact, deadline-driven work.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and file PAC, lobbyist employer, and lobbyist employee filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support campaign finance and political compliance requirements.
- Coordinate CLE accreditation applications and state approvals.
- Track and maintain CLE credits and compliance records.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to collect required documentation.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the Compliance team.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure accuracy across all filings and reporting requirements (aligned with typical compliance tracking expectations in paralegal roles).
- 1–3 years of paralegal or compliance experience.
- Campaign finance filing experience required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint preferred).
- SharePoint or similar document management systems.
- Duration: 2+ months (potential extension based on need/performance).
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 5:00 PM (CST). - Hybrid schedule with occasional in-office presence (Chicago area).
- Overtime may be available.
- Temporary opportunity supporting ongoing compliance initiatives.
- Laptop will be provided.
