This position will also serve as an initial point of contact for post-admission processes to supplement other offices like financial aid services, academic advising, or other student support services and actively support campus events and visits. This is a full-time, hybrid position with an expectation to be on campus three days a week.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required include commitment to providing a high level of service and working in a team environment, high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion, excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, ability to be flexible and adjust to the changing priorities of the office, ability to work effectively with diverse populations and advance effective and inclusive working relationships, excellent verbal and written communication, project management, and organizational skills, demonstrated decision-making, analytical, and critical thinking skills, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines, proficiency with Microsoft Office and other social media applications, and ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed in support of office events and deadlines.
Years of experience required: 0-2. Required education: bachelor's degree. Certification/licensure required. Minimum qualifications include experience within a college or university with knowledge of admission and financial aid processes, excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication and presentation skills, presentation, word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Office Suite preferred), ability to articulate the values and mission, team player who has the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, and ability to work independently with little supervision.
Preferred qualifications include Spanish speaking (conversational).
Equipment operated includes basic office equipment: desktop/laptop computer, copier/multi-function device, fax, cellphone and landline telephone. Software systems: CRM (Slate), SIS (Banner), video conferencing (Zoom) and remote communication tool (Microsoft Teams).
Working conditions include a normal climate-controlled office environment, job is mostly sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling is required (typically less than 15 pounds of weight or pressure). Regular use of desktop computer is required, calling for frequent hand/wrist movement and repetition.
Duty and responsibility includes campus events/visit coordination, undergraduate admission, and other duties as assigned.
