Monday/ Tuesday/Thursday Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Parkway Bank is looking for a File Maintenance Supervisor at our Chicago branch located at 4646 N. Cumberland Avenue

This individual manages the File Maintenance Department. Supervises, guides and coaches data entry staff and File Coordinator while performing a variety of clerical duties in accordance with bank policies, procedures, processes and guidelines. This position also performs a variety of duties and projects as assigned by Management. Acts as back up for the File Coordinator.

  • Has working knowledge of all bookkeeping functions and acts as back up when necessary.
  • Prepares written communications such as procedures, performance evaluations, and related information to all staff personnel.
  • Exercises judgment and decision making in problem solving. Must exercise judgment in item processing and problem solving.
  • Assists Officer in charge, departmental personnel, and other bank personnel in a team effort to get all jobs done in a time and accurate manner on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to perform basic math calculations accurately.
  • Must be able to access, input, retrieve and understand information from the computer.
  • Assist co-workers in a team effort to get all jobs done in a timely manner on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to read and understand bank related documentation, especially checks, transaction documents, memos, notices, training material, policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate information to coworkers, bank personnel and occasionally to customers within bank guidelines for quality service.
  • Keeps workstation and common working areas neat, orderly and well supplied.
  • Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience.
  • 1-2 years banking experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to analyze data.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow through assignments to completion.
  • Good math and clerical skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and settle all daily work in a timely manner.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) with fellow employees and customers.
  • Ability to read, write and count to accurately complete all documents.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
  • Ability to operate and understand business machines and equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand bank documents and reports.
  • Effective judgment to process transactions, solve problems, make decisions and react to unusual situations.
  • Ability to keep all bank and customer information confidential.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible five-day work week, with hours of work determined by department needs. Overtime will occur when necessary.
  • Knowledge of Deposit Processing and Item Processing preferred. This includes Federal Reserve adjustments and charge backs, Cash Letters and other related information.
  • Knowledge and use of Parkway's image product known as Synergy and the FIS image system known as eVision is preferred.
