Role Overview
A Receptionist on the Workplace team will manage the main reception area, greet and direct all visitors, and provide general workplace and administrative support to the company.
Responsibilities- Professionally answer, screen, and route all incoming calls
- Greet guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner
- Open/close the reception area daily and maintain its appearance throughout the day
- Input visitors into the building security system, manage the daily guest list, and communicate with building security staff as needed
- Submit and follow up on service calls to the building management office
- Follow up on internal facilities requests/work orders
- Sort all incoming mail accordingly
- Coordinate messenger services, outgoing mail deliveries, and employee package release forms
- Assist with office activities, amenities, events, and other business needs as assigned
- Assist with office supply ordering
- Maintain conference rooms; book meetings; assist with the set‑up of A/V equipment and video conferences as needed
- Manage newspaper/periodical subscriptions
- Update the team page on the company intranet
- Maintain updates to the facilities, workplace, and reception manuals
- Process expense reports for assigned DRW employees
- Serve as first point of contact for facilities‑related issues
- Aid with DRW emergency response team organization and training
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding procedures, including new hire desk setup, decommissioning, company photo directory maintenance, and coordinating employee building access, badging, and key assignments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent phone etiquette
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and take direction from multiple sources
- Confidence, initiative, and the ability to learn new things quickly
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Outlook for email and calendaring, and in MS Word and Excel
- Proven ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
- Previous experience in a corporate office environment (preferred)
- Ability to work alternative schedules to cover planned absences between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Availability to work in the office five days a week
- College degree or equivalent (required)
The annual base salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
