Position Summary

Under minimal direction from the Assistant Manager and Lead Administrator, the Extra Help Program Coordinator supports the day-to-day administration and long-range planning of the College of Medicine Office of Continuing and Professional Development (CME). The position coordinates, tracks, reports, and maintains documentation for CME learning activities and stays current with applicable accreditation policies, standards, and practices.

The Extra Help Program Coordinator helps ensure that sponsored CME activities are appropriately documented and compliant with applicable accrediting body and program requirements. The position also supports program evaluation activities and provides administrative support to the Associate Dean for Interprofessional Education and Continuing Medical Education.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Reviews, tracks, and maintains program data, including activity information, outcomes, attendance, participant attributes, and goal-related measures used for annual reporting, accreditation requirements, and faculty committee review.
  • Assists activity directors and coordinators with navigating the CME proposal software, submitting applications, and completing required activity reporting.
  • Works with the Assistant Manager to manage and compile data for annual reports and ACCME reporting, including required information for CME activities conducted during the reporting period.
  • Manages registration requests and troubleshoots system-related inquiries, including questions related to CME application software.
  • Coordinates monthly local and Executive Committee meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas and minutes, and facilitating application reviews by committee members.
  • Coordinates communication between the program office, departments, practitioners, and other stakeholders and organizations regarding CME activities and inquiries.
  • Plans, coordinates, and conducts instructional meetings for individuals involved in CME activity development and design, including program administrators.
