PositionSummary
We seek a customer service, process, and technology-oriented Document Control Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to document control processes, procedures, and systems to enable us to execute our major EPC construction projects successfully. You will execute the creation, review, revision, approval, distribution, and workflow of all critical project documentation, ensuring compliance with the established standards and processes.
Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation, facilitating seamless collaboration among cross-functional teams, and guaranteeing that all project stakeholders have access to the most current and relevant information. As the Document Control Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing project efficiencies, mitigating risks, and contributing to the successful completion of EPC projects. Your keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work efficiently and independently in a dynamic environment will drive excellence in document control processes.
This position would be on-site at our Leawood, KS or our Sedalia, MO office. Note – This is not a permanent role, but a variable position based on project workload expected Until ~Q1 2028. Performance-based goals could potentially lead to a full-time hire.

Essential Job Functions- Track client, contractor, and vendor deliverables throughout the project lifecycle (recording revisions, revision purposes, distribution and transmittal histories).
- Provide non-technical review of document/drawing releases to meet ISO 9001, Contractual, and Department requirements.
- Regularly communicate with clients (internal and external) and vendors to ensure document accuracy.
- Prepare accurate status reporting based upon the metadata designations and submitting at the determined frequency (per project basis).
- Support implementation of the department electronic document management system including the engineering PDM system.
