This position is characterized by their performance of a variety of administrative, secretarial, and office support duties. This position requires knowledge of the office or work unit policies and procedures in order to communicate information involving programs, functions, and services. Duties performed may include preparation of documents and reports, the use of office technology, compiling records, organizing and maintaining files, posting information, greeting/referring/assisting visitors/clients/staff/others, mail distribution, and photocopying.
The completion of work often involves a public contact role to obtain, clarify, or provide information regarding activities of the work unit or program. This position may serve as the primary staff assistant to a department or program manager.

High School Diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Preferred QualificationsSupervisor prefers Associate or Bachelor’s degree with 1-5 years of progressively responsible administrative/office
support experience, preferably in an academic/University setting. Applicant should have experience and/or capability to effectively work with a diverse public; manage documents, etc.; adapt quickly to meet work
assignments/deadlines; experience/ability to utilize office equipment/software; and ability to effectively utilize or complete training to utilize University-specific systems (e.g., Banner Finance, Banner Student, Admission Pros, etc.).
