Practice Operations Contractor

We are seeking a reliable, organized Practice Operations Contractor to provide administrative and operational support for a growing group counseling practice in Illinois. This is a flexible, project-based position ideal for someone with experience in behavioral health, private practice, healthcare administration, or small-practice operations.

• Manage assigned administrative and practice-operations projects
• Maintain provider and practice information in Therapy Notes
• Assist with contractor and administrative tasks in Gusto
• Organize documents, spreadsheets, forms, and communications through Google Workspace
• Assist with clinician onboarding and credentialing documentation
• Support billing, scheduling, and administrative follow-up as needed
• Maintain organized digital records and tracking systems
• Identify opportunities to improve practice workflows and efficiency
• Complete other short-term projects as assigned

$30–$40 per hour, depending on experience and project scope.

Certain projects may be paid at a flat project rate agreed upon before work begins.

Expected workload is approximately 5–15 hours per week, with flexibility depending on current projects and practice needs.

• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, private practice, or office administration
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
• Experience with Therapy Notes, Gusto, and Google Workspace preferred
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
• Familiarity with Illinois behavioral-health practices is a plus

This is an independent-contractor, project-based position. Work will be assigned based on the practice's current operational needs, with specific projects, deadlines, and compensation agreed upon in advance.
