Schedule: This is a full-time auto job in Chicago.

As an Automotive Tech, you will spend your day working on complex diagnostics and auto repairs. You will use vehicle data, scan tools, and advanced equipment like oscilloscopes to find and fix problems. You will handle driveline repairs on transmissions, differentials, and drive shafts, and you will work on CAN-bus systems to solve communication issues. Most of the vehicles you see will need drivability diagnostics, and you will be the one to take care of them.

You will also help mentor junior techs by sharing your knowledge. Part of your day will be documenting the work you do and keeping in touch with service advisors. You will also keep your work area safe and clean.

• 5+ years of total technician experience, including 36 – 48 months at A-Level or equivalent advanced technician role
• Strong ability to interpret vehicle data and perform diagnostics using modern scan tools and scopes
• Experience repairing driveline and drivetrain components
• Proficiency with CAN bus system diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Ability to mentor and support junior technicians as a team player
• EPA Section 609 certification or willingness to obtain
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Professional-grade tool set

ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
