The Business Development Director role is responsible for driving revenue growth, partnerships, and market expansion across Pay Complete’s suite of cash management solutions in the U.S. market. This executive will lead business development initiatives, build key cross-industry relationships, and align commercial strategy with company growth objectives. This role demands deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles, and proven success in scaling revenue in complex technology environments.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive U.S. business development strategy aligned to Pay Complete’s global objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize key market opportunities, segment growth strategies, and expansion into adjacent verticals (e.g., retail, transit, banking, cash centers).
  • Drive strategic initiatives to accelerate revenue, win key enterprise accounts, and expand Pay Complete’s market share in the U.S.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process for high-value opportunities including pipeline generation, forecasting, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Establish sales performance metrics and maintain a robust sales pipeline with clear forecasting and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager Americas and the wider Global Sales Team to align U.S. sales tactics with Pay Complete’s product and service roadmap.
  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships with systems integrators, channel partners, and OEMs that accelerate growth and enhance solution delivery.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements, co-selling frameworks, and revenue share models where appropriate.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Professional Services, and Solutions Engineering to tailor offerings to U.S. customer demands and competitive dynamics.
  • Influence product roadmap priorities based on customer feedback and competitive insights.
  • Serve as an executive sponsor for key accounts and support large deal negotiations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs in the U.S. transactional technology landscape.
  • Deliver insight-driven recommendations to executive leadership that shape commercial strategy.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, accountability, and customer focus.
  • Any other reasonable request made by the Line Manager or ELT.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of business development and enterprise sales leadership in B2B technology (preferably SaaS, IoT, fintech, payments, automation, or related sectors).
  • Demonstrated track record of scaling revenue in the U.S. market - with measurable success in new customer acquisition and strategic account growth.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and executing complex sales cycles with C-level stakeholders.
Skills & Attributes
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and financial literacy.
  • Exceptional relationship builder, negotiator, and communicator.
  • Proven ability to drive outcomes in fast-paced, European/global hybrid organizations.
  • In-depth understanding of U.S. payments landscape, cash management or adjacent industries a strong advantage.

The role is open for all US states

salary range: 90K to 130 K based on experience
