Project Manager, Factory Engineering

Overview

Pay: $77.21/Hour;
Duration: 10+ months.

• Timeline Ownership & Accountability
  • Build, adjust, and maintain detailed project timelines in MS Project.
  • Collaborate with all cross functional teams to gather inputs and identify risks.
  • Update timelines frequently as innovation work shifts.
  • Hold teams accountable to delivery dates and surface capacity concerns or roadblocks.
  • Challenge feasibility assumptions from supply chain and engineering when timelines don’t align.
• Scrum & Agile Leadership
  • Serve as Scrum Master for one pod; support additional pods with agile structure and delivery guidance.
  • Teams are highly mature in agile and operate on:
  • • 2 or 4 week sprints
    • Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, retros)
    • Quarterly PI planning with OKR alignment
  • New requirement from hiring manager:
  • • Candidate must have 1–2 years of hands on Agile project management experience.
    • Must be comfortable running sprints, planning, retros, quarterly planning, and building review decks.
    • Agile certification is NOT required.
    • The key is understanding how to operate within a fully agile managed project environment.
• Commercialization & Innovation Delivery
  • Support end to end commercialization for new product innovations.
  • Translate marketing concepts (e.g., packaging changes, ingredient additions like bacon bits in ketchup) into operational feasibility impacts.
  • Understand machinery changes, component replacements, and installation timelines to advise on overall project timing.
  • Challenge BU supply chain or engineering recommendations when alternative solutions could reduce timeline or cost.
• Cross Functional Engagement
  • Navigate between marketing, R&D, supply chain, and factory teams — translating and balancing their needs.
  • Identify risks across tech, operations, and commercialization work streams.
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration and communication while driving clarity across functions.
  • Navigate Cap Ex processes independently and determine who to engage without hand holding.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related.
• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Project Management, in the Food & beverage industry.
• Experience with physical product innovation in Food & Beverage with packaging projects, aligned with operations & manufacturing side: engineering, changing of machines, alignment with supply chain, etc.
• Operations focused innovation project management background
• Experience in supply chain development, factory engineering, or machinery related innovation delivery.
• Understand packaging changes, formula changes, feasibility constraints, machinery timelines.
• Agile project management experience (emphasis)
• 1–2 years running agile ceremonies and managing projects through sprints.
• Comfortable facilitating sprint events and creating review materials.
