Senior Business Manager – Publicis Health

The Senior Business Manager reports to the Associate Director of Business Management and plays a key role in driving the financial health of our client partnerships. You’ll partner closely with Client Services and Project Management to manage budgets, lead financial tracking and forecasting, and ensure seamless billing and job management. This role is ideal for a highly organized, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast‑paced agency environment.
You’ll bring financial acumen, collaboration, and proactive problem‑solving to provide clarity and accountability, supporting strong client relationships and agency growth.
- Partner closely with Client Services and Project Management to manage client budgets, lead weekly budget tracking and forecasting discussions, and ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
- Oversee the Finance Analyst team, guiding job creation and maintenance, expense approvals, time transfers, troubleshooting timesheets, and ensuring standardized documentation and reporting practices.
- Maintain and update financial trackers, including weekly burn reports, invoicing, forecasting and non‑billable reporting, while ensuring all month‑end close activities are accurate, complete, and timely.
- Lead client budget calls and internal staffing discussions, helping to determine team staffing needs in partnership with Project Management and account leadership.
- Support scope negotiation with procurement and provide strategic analyses or ad hoc reporting to Finance Management, offering insights that help drive business decisions.
- Serve as a proactive problem solver and trusted financial partner, answering questions from clients, vendors and internal teams, and providing clarity, accountability and actionable guidance.
- Present financial insights, key project updates and initiatives to internal stakeholders and the broader Publicis Health Finance community, ensuring transparency and alignment across offices.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or a related discipline.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition and client profitability analysis.
- 5+ years of experience in agency finance or business management.
- Strategic problem‑solving skills with the ability to quickly assess financial risks and opportunities and guide account teams toward sound decisions.
- Strong communicator and relationship builder, able to partner closely with account leaders, PMs and senior agency stakeholders.
- Highly self‑directed, able to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Fast learner who adapts easily to new financial systems, reporting tools and agency processes.
- Exceptionally organized and detail‑oriented, with experience managing monthly close cycles, reconciliations and financial reviews.

Compensation Range
: $73,910 – $106,260 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications and experience of the applicant, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan and 401(k) plan after meeting eligibility criteria.
