Overview

Clean Harbors is looking for a Director National Leader of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) to join our safety conscious team! The Director will be responsible for the aggressive and consistent growth in revenue for a particular line of business, as assigned, including the sales and operations of the group.

This position can be located anywhere within the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Direct responsibilities include driving aggressive and consistent revenue growth for the assigned line of business, including sales and operations of the group.

  • Monitor and report Line of Business performance by vertical, by region and by business unit where each manager has budgeted expectations of producing revenues within each LOB.

  • Direct management oversight for sales personnel where applicable, with budgeted goals and expectations for strategic growth for a particular line of business.

  • Provide expert resources to assist field sales and vertical sales in sales support and with technical sales support.

  • Define the value proposition for the assigned line of business, including working with corporate marketing and sales personnel to develop sales support material and technical presentations.

  • Work with facility operations personnel (when applicable) to understand immediate and future plant disposal needs; develop timely internal and external programs to meet changing plant needs; consistently manage pricing vs volume requirements.

  • Conduct complex and sensitive assignments from senior management for the line of business.

  • Identify new revenue streams including ancillary revenue streams.

  • Analyze ongoing business for gaps, deficiencies, and opportunities to improve margin, including reviewing competitive trends, markets trends, quoting trends vs the market, and contractual review; ultimately responsible for margin improvement for the respective line of business.

  • Update the WIN System pricing and costing as it relates to labor, equipment, and materials, including making recommendations to management on a regular and consistent basis.

  • Responsible for regulation-oriented tasks as assigned to ensure compliance with safety policies and processes.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor s Degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related is required.

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to analyze data as it relates to the revenue and margin improvement opportunities.

  • Ability to translate financial and statistical data into understandable terms for line managers.

  • Ability to organize action items into ongoing and sustainable programs.

  • Financial management, operations, or business development experience.

  • Ability to understand an issue and address and resolve strategically.

  • Extremely organized and attention to detail.

  • Experience in the environmental or related industries.

  • Strong leadership ability.

  • Ability to travel 25-50%.
