Overview
Leads strategy, governance, and execution for Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) category management. Responsible for overseeing high‑risk, high‑value EPC contracts; directing sourcing practices; and partnering with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure effective delivery of procurement objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Category Leadership: Oversee EPC category strategy, including spend analysis, risk assessments, and development of mitigation plans.
- Governance & Standards: Guide procurement and contract teams to ensure adherence to sourcing policies and best practices.
- Process Improvement: Implement standardized sourcing and purchasing methods; identify trends; and drive continuous improvement with stakeholders.
- Cross‑Functional Leadership: Lead teams across functions and initiatives, prioritizing tasks and aligning stakeholders on sourcing strategies.
- Category Planning: Develop category plans grounded in industry, economic, and risk analyses; manage communications and change efforts.
- Project Representation: Serve as the primary representative for Supply/Procurement in cross‑functional EPC initiatives and sourcing events.
- Support
Activities:
Participate in business‑wide emergency or special‑response efforts as needed.
- 3+ years managing and negotiating large‑scale EPC contracts.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 7-10 years in business, engineering, or related fields.
- Strong project and change management capabilities.
- Expertise in category management, supply chain concepts, and cost drivers.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and present to executive stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and conflict‑management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across support organizations and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Solid understanding of EPC contract terms and technical requirements.
- Deep subject‑matter expertise in relevant categories.
- Business‑unit experience.
- Broad understanding of enterprise‑level supply chain operations and cost structures.
- Manage high‑value, high‑risk EPC suppliers and category spend.
- Provide governance across complex, multi‑unit EPC contracting efforts.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts and support team development.
- Travel as required to supplier or project locations.
