Our client is a well-established, privately held national distributor of paper, packaging, automation equipment, and facility supplies is seeking a Packaging & Facilities Supply Sales Representative to help accelerate growth across an existing customer base in the Chicagoland and Southern Wisconsin markets.
This is a specialist overlay role designed to support and partner with an existing sales team by identifying opportunities, providing product expertise, and driving incremental revenue within packaging and facility supply categories.
You’ll have access to a strong, established book of business - allowing you to focus more on opportunity development and account expansion, rather than pure cold prospecting.
Key Responsibilities- Drive incremental revenue growth through cross-selling packaging and facility supply solutions into existing accounts
- Partner closely with current sales representatives to develop account strategy and support customer meetings
- Build relationships with operations, purchasing, warehousing, and facilities decision-makers
- Identify customer needs, recommend solutions, and close repeat business
- Serve as a subject matter expert on packaging and facility supply product offerings
- Provide quotes, product recommendations, samples, and follow-up support
- Participate in customer walk-throughs, evaluations, and onsite visits
Track and manage sales activity and pipeline
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience (outside sales strongly preferred)
- Experience in packaging, janitorial, facility supply, or industrial distribution preferred
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple opportunities in a fast-paced environment
- CRM experience and strong Excel skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
- Consistent growth of packaging and facility supply revenue within assigned accounts
- Strong collaboration with the core sales team
- High customer engagement and repeat purchasing behavior
- Accurate pipeline management and forecasting
