Summary: We’re looking for a senior growth leader to drive SCC’s next phase of expansion by unlocking new business opportunities and elevating our presence in the market. As Chief Growth Officer, you will focus on identifying, cultivating, and converting new opportunities, leveraging deep industry relationships, market insight, and strategic storytelling to fuel sustainable growth.
You’ll act as a catalyst—opening doors, shaping opportunities, and partnering with internal teams to ensure we are positioned to pitch, win, and onboard new business successfully. You’ll work closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to define where SCC should grow, which opportunities to pursue, and how we show up in competitive situations.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with the CEO and ELT to define and execute the agency’s business development and growth strategy
- Identify, prioritize, and pursue high value new business opportunities aligned with SCC’s strengths and long-term goals
- Leverage a strong network of senior level brand, client, and industry relationships to unlock new opportunities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective clients and represent SCC in early stage and executive level conversations
- Evaluate opportunities for strategic fit, clarity, and win potential
- Partner with internal teams to shape positioning, narrative, and pitch strategy, supporting teams throughout the pitch development and presentation process
- Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics to inform growth priorities and positioning
- Support SCC’s external growth presence, including PR, awards strategy, thought leadership, and industry events
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Creative, Media, Strategy, Client Leadership) to ensure strong pitch readiness and smooth handoffs following new business wins
- Up to 10 to 15% travel for meetings, conferences, and industry events
Who You Are
- A senior growth leader with a strong track record of opening doors and generating new business opportunities
- An entrepreneurial and hands-on executive who is relentless about getting things done
- Comfortable leading executive-level conversations and representing an agency externally
- Strategic, credible, curious and collaborative, with the ability to guide teams toward winning approaches
- An excellent and authentic communicator with strong storytelling and presentation skills
- Experience in advertising or marketing agencies, particularly within smaller or independent environments, is a strong plus
- A savvy, modern marketer with broad experience across marketing platforms and disciplines
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in business development, growth, or revenue focused leadership roles
- Proven success generating new business in an advertising, marketing, or creative services environment
- Experience partnering closely with executive leadership teams
- Strong strategic thinking, writing, and presentation skills
- Deep understanding of the agency and marketing services landscape
