Travel: 50%+ local project/client visits (no overnight travel)
We are representing a well-established commercial drywall contractor in the Chicago market that is expanding its New Construction division and adding a Project Executive to its leadership team.
This is a front-line leadership role — not a back-office position.
You will step into an active backlog of awarded work, support projects coming online, and serve as the executive face of the company with key clients. A strong PM/APM team is in place to handle day-to-day execution. This role is centered on leadership, visibility, accountability, and relationship ownership.

Key Responsibilities- Provide executive oversight from project award through closeout
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with owners, general contractors, and partners
- Maintain consistent field presence across active projects
- Lead high-level change order strategy and resolve escalated issues
- Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, safety, and quality expectations
- Represent the organization with professionalism and authority in the market
- Proven experience managing large commercial drywall projects
- Strong client-facing presence and communication skills
- Ability to oversee multiple projects while remaining visible in the field
- Relationship-driven mindset with strong business judgment
- Confident decision-maker who protects margin and company reputation
