Job Description
Responsible for providing advice and valuable financial solutions to complex Business Banking clients and prospects. Serves as the primary point of contact / trusted advisor, acquiring, deepening, and maintaining profitable relationships, collaborating with teammates and facilitating client relationships with Product Specialists. Knowledge of bank products and services to identify cross‑selling opportunities and increase client satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Manage an extensive portfolio of complex clients and prospects with annual revenues of $20-50 million, helping them save, borrow, and invest for current and future needs.
- Acquire, deepen, and maintain profitable client relationships through sales, prospecting, and enhancing existing relationships.
- Understand and interpret financial and cash‑flow statements to assess financial conditions of companies and industry trends.
- Collaborate with local market stakeholders and teammates, including Investment Banking, Foreign Exchange, Wealth Management, and facilitate client relationships with Product Specialists in Credit, Treasury Management, and Merchant Services to design and deliver financial solutions.
- Lead and facilitate dialogue with complex clients and prospects on industry, alternative capital structures, and general business issues.
- Coach and mentor peers while utilizing leadership skills.
- Adapt to changes in sales practices and broader market and industry conditions as needed.
- Minimum of five years of experience in commercial lending, business development, commercial credit, and portfolio management in business banking or the middle‑market sector.
- Experience managing an extensive portfolio of clients with annual revenues of $20–$50 million.
- Proven track record of sales, prospecting new business, and enhancing existing relationships.
- Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and cash‑flow analysis to assess financial conditions and industry trends.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
