The Sr. Procurement Analyst is responsible for driving advanced analytics and reporting to support Category Managers in strategy execution and monitoring supplier performance for MAB. The role leverages market insights and data to identify savings, mitigate risk and deliver value across packaging categories. The position also leads the development of dashboards, reporting, and automation tools to enhance decision‑making, improve efficiency, and elevate overall team capability.
Accountabilities- Provide Analyst support packaging spend categories:
Cans, Glass, Corrugate, Cartons, Label, Closures, and other misc. pack spend. - Maintain supplier price lists and price changes
- Analyze commodity market trends that impact MAB
- Play input/support role for execution of supplier strategies and SRM plans
- Build/maintain Power BI and AI driven dashboards (ex. Category dashboards, failed invoice reports, etc.)
- Conduct sourcing events and provide recommendations for business awards for small categories & execute contracts
- Analyze productivity opportunities
- Cost – Delivering lowest landed cost while mitigating risk of excess inventory. Monitoring pricelist & supplier performance
- Quality – Holding suppliers to account for any non‑conformance incidents
- Service – Assuring continuity of supply.
- Failed invoices & Discount performance
- Labels Category / Shrink SRM support & sourcing events
- Packaging Category Strategies & SRM plans
- Procurement Finance, Supply Planning, Tech Services, Quality, New Product Development Team, and Plants
- Support Procurement Category Managers, Ingredients analyst
- Ability to analyze market trends and business data and generate actionable insights.
- Strong Communication Skills
- Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with Power BI, snowflake, notebook LM, and other AI tools
- Prior packaging procurement experience (contracts/neg.)
Compensation offered to prospective Team Members has taken internal equity into consideration and can vary depending on a positions’ location. The final agreed upon wage may vary based on the job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience of the individual.
- Competitive annual salary of $88,000 - $110,000 in Chicago, IL
