Regional Distribution Center Inventory Lead

Position Overview

The Inventory Lead supports management in day‑to‑day operations for the night shift, ensuring inventory accuracy, safety, and team productivity at American Tire Distributors.

• Act as liaison between team members and management to resolve issues.
• Administer the safety program to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with supervisors to discuss goal attainment, inventory levels, and timelines.
• Compile process, accuracy, and production reports and communicate findings to management.
• Provide necessary resources so team members can meet shift objectives.
• Recommend process improvements and assist in implementation.
• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, locate missing products, and replenish shortages.
• Review daily cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory in the system.
• Train and cross‑train new and existing team members.
• Use the inventory system to identify storage locations that require physical counts.
• Work with management to maintain inventory integrity and achieve absolute variance per ATD standards.

• Work Scheduling – scheduling work and material resources to meet targets.

• High School or GED required;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 4–6 years of related experience preferred.

• Occasional standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, kneeling, crouching, hearing, tasting, and smelling.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; handle tires over 50 pounds.
• Requirements for close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision.
• Exposure to weather conditions; moderate noise level.
• Travel up to 5% of time.
