Position Overview
The Inventory Lead supports management in day‑to‑day operations for the night shift, ensuring inventory accuracy, safety, and team productivity at American Tire Distributors.
Key Responsibilities- Act as liaison between team members and management to resolve issues.
- Administer the safety program to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with supervisors to discuss goal attainment, inventory levels, and timelines.
- Compile process, accuracy, and production reports and communicate findings to management.
- Provide necessary resources so team members can meet shift objectives.
- Recommend process improvements and assist in implementation.
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, locate missing products, and replenish shortages.
- Review daily cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory in the system.
- Train and cross‑train new and existing team members.
- Use the inventory system to identify storage locations that require physical counts.
- Work with management to maintain inventory integrity and achieve absolute variance per ATD standards.
- Collaboration – building partnerships to meet shared objectives.

- Policy & Procedure – monitoring, interpreting, and implementing policies.
- Storage – ensuring optimal storage of warehouse items.
- Traffic & Vehicle Planning – deploying and utilizing vehicles effectively.
- Verbal Communication – expressing ideas and requests clearly.
- Work Scheduling – scheduling work and material resources to meet targets.
- High School or GED required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - 4–6 years of related experience preferred.
- Occasional standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, kneeling, crouching, hearing, tasting, and smelling.
- Must lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; handle tires over 50 pounds.
- Requirements for close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision.
- Exposure to weather conditions; moderate noise level.
- Travel up to 5% of time.
