Job Description & How to Apply Below

Nurture Life is a rapidly growing food company that delivers fresh, nutritious, ready-to-eat baby and kids meals, but the mission that unites us goes so much deeper than that. Together we’re raising the bar for kids' food, creating meals that are healthy, delicious, and convenient, that parents can be proud to serve and kids love to eat.

By joining Nurture Life, you’ll be part of a tight-knit team led by professionals with decades of experience in both the tech and food industries. We hire talented people who share our vision and then give them the freedom (and the responsibility!) to develop new ideas and innovative approaches that directly impact our growth and success. We believe in inspiring the extraordinary in our people and know that our team is the core of our success.

We support our team members and empower them to use their unique talents as part of a unified, mission-focused organization.

We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented E-commerce Logistics Manager to manage our shipping systems, order processing, label generation, and coordination with our shipping partners to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment

Your days will consist of…

  • Developing and executing carrier network strategies that optimize line haul groupings, shipment consolidation, and routing logic to balance cost efficiency with customer experience outcomes
  • Owning the financial performance of the outbound and inbound shipping function — tracking freight spend, analyzing cost-per-shipment trends, identifying savings opportunities, and reporting against budget
  • Managing and continuously improving our shipping tech stack, including Order Bot, Shipium, and integrated carrier platforms — driving configuration improvements, overseeing system updates, and serving as the internal escalation point for technical issues
  • Architecting order batching and sortation logic, including building and refining the rules and tools that govern how pick lists, labels, and shipment groupings are generated at scale
  • Leading two direct reports and providing day-to-day coaching, workload management, and performance development
  • Partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Customer Experience, and Operations to align shipping strategy with broader business goals and surface data-driven recommendations
  • Building and maintaining reporting dashboards and analytical tools in Google Sheets or Excel that give leadership visibility into shipping KPIs, carrier performance, and fulfillment trends
  • Proactively managing carrier and vendor relationships, including performance reviews, contract considerations, and escalations
  • Developing seasonal and holiday shipping capacity plans, including volume forecasting, carrier contingency planning, and cutoff strategy, and communicating in a timely manner to all impacted departments
  • Owning root cause analysis for fulfillment and shipping exceptions — driving both immediate resolution and systemic process improvements to prevent recurrence

We’d love for you to…

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Business, or a related field
  • Bring 3+ years of experience in e-commerce logistics, transportation management, or fulfillment operations — with demonstrated ownership of shipping cost and performance metrics
  • Have advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel, including building models, dashboards, and analytical tools from raw data
  • Possess strong financial acumen — comfortable working with freight budgets, cost variance analysis, and carrier rate structures
  • Be a systems thinker who can manage multiple platforms and workflows simultaneously while staying deadline-oriented
  • Have experience with shipping software platforms and carrier integrations (experience with Shipium, Order Bot, or similar TMS/WMS tools a plus)
Benefits
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401k savings plan + match up to 4%
  • Employee assistance program
  • Life insurance
  • Paid holidays, vacation days, and generous maternity/parental leave
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
Work Location
  • Bedford Park IL.
