Role Description
This is a full-time, remote role for a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will identify and qualify new business opportunities, build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, and develop strategic relationships with key decision-makers in target industries.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Conducting market and account research.
- Prospecting and outreach.
- Leading discovery calls and presentations.
- Crafting proposals that align Colony Display's capabilities with client needs.
- Collaborating with internal design, engineering, and operations teams to shape solutions.
- Negotiating contracts and ensuring a smooth handoff from sales to project execution.
- Tracking performance against sales targets, maintaining accurate CRM records, and providing regular reporting and forecasts.
- Proven skills in business development, B2B sales, and account management, with the ability to build long-term client relationships.
- Experience in prospecting, lead generation, pipeline management, and sales forecasting using CRM tools.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including the ability to tailor messages to executive and stakeholder audiences.
- Ability to analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategic sales plans.
- Comfort working cross-functionally with design, engineering, operations, and finance teams to shape and price client solutions.
- Self-directed and organized, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines in a remote environment.
- Experience in retail, home improvement, hospitality, fixtures, or store environment solutions is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Proficiency with common productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace) and virtual collaboration platforms.
