This role is ideal for someone who not only executes purchase orders, but also actively manages vendor relationships and maintains accurate item and supplier data to support efficient, cost‑effective operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute purchase orders based on system-generated suggestions and operational needs
  • Maintain and update item and vendor data, including lead times, pricing, minimums/maximums, lot sizes, safety stock, and vendor sourcing options
  • Monitor inventory performance by reviewing overages, shortages, and system recommendations
  • Respond to and resolve invoice discrepancies in coordination with accounting and vendors
  • Facilitate inter-company transfers and related purchase orders
  • Partner with plant locations to support accurate cycle counts and inventory integrity
  • Review and correct inventory valuation reports at month-end

  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
  • Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs

  • Experience executing purchase orders and maintaining purchasing or ERP system data
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with data accuracy and inventory parameters
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, accounting, and vendors
