Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Commercial Excellence & Sales Support Specialist to support our Polymer Specialties business. In this role, you will help ensure an efficient sales process and strong customer experience by working closely with sales, customer service, logistics, and compliance teams. You will support key activities such as pricing, master data management, order tracking, and issue resolution while contributing to process improvements and strengthening customer relationships across the commercial organization.
Key Responsibilities- Support pre- and post-sales activities to ensure a smooth and efficient order-to-cash process
- Maintain and manage master data, pricing, and customer information with a high level of accuracy
- Monitor customer orders against contracts and help ensure fulfillment commitments are met
- Act as a key point of coordination between sales, customer service, logistics, and trade compliance teams
- Assist customers and internal stakeholders with inquiries, special requests, and issue resolution
- Coordinate activities such as customer complaints, price support, and recertifications
- Support rebate processes in collaboration with sales and marketing teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance sales processes and overall efficiency
- Gather and analyze data to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement
- Partner closely with commercial leadership to support business priorities and strategic initiatives
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in sales support or customer service, ideally within a manufacturing or logistics environment
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, preferably in a B2B or sales and distribution setting
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as Microsoft Dynamics
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- The ability to manage multiple priorities with structure, attention to detail, and flexibility
- A proactive approach and the confidence to collaborate across teams and influence outcomes
- Analytical skills with experience using Excel to gather and interpret data
- Solid business understanding and problem-solving capabilities
- A collaborative mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and professional growth
Onsite position in Chicago, IL. This position reports directly to the Sales Support & Commercial Excellence Manager.
Compensation & BenefitsThe hiring salary range for this position is $66,500 to $95,000, with progression potential up to $109,250. Compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, skills, and certifications. Hired applicants will be eligible for annual bonuses. Employees and their families will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, as well as enrollment in the company’s 401(k) plan. Employees also receive paid time off and mandated company holidays throughout the calendar year.
