JAS is a global supply chain services company offering freight forwarding, logistics, and related solutions. We are seeking a Local Account Manager to manage, maintain, and grow client relationships within a specific geographic region.

Responsibilities

Manage local commercial relationships for assigned clients, including customer-facing interactions and identification of at‑risk or new business opportunities.

Develop and maintain SOPs and ensure local operations understand all client expectations; create, monitor, and distribute reports.

Lead Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), communicating feedback to operations and account teams.

Serve as the final escalation point for operational and finance-related issues once local branch resolutions have been exhausted.

Prepare and maintain account profiles and strategic development plans, sharing them with national, regional, and global teams.

Actively participate in tender processes and implementation teams; forecast and coordinate local tenders.

Track and report KPI metrics, including entering a minimum of 8 customer meetings per month and conducting 2 sponsor meetings per year.

Qualifications

3–5 years of sales/account management/operations experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation.
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Detail‑oriented, multitasking, and deadline‑focused.
Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
College degree preferred; 3+ years of relevant experience.

Salary and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $105,000 annually, in accordance with the Illinois pay transparency law. Individual pay within this range is determined based on relevant experience, education, skills, and performance. We aim to provide fair and equitable compensation to all employees.
