In North America, Business France opened offices in strategic locations, next to the most vibrant markets. Our network of over 100 employees operates from 5 central offices (New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, Montréal) and 4 outposts (Los Angeles, Boston, Detroit, Houston). As an Energy, Infrastructure & Mining Trade Advisor, you will play a key role in helping French companies successfully enter and grow in North America.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and engaging prospective partners, customers, and stakeholders through targeted outreach campaigns (calls, emails, Linked In, and networking activities);
- Qualifying business opportunities and assessing market potential for French companies;
- Understanding prospects' needs, challenges, and strategic priorities;
- Generating and securing high‑value business meetings between French companies and North American decision‑makers;
- Building and maintaining a strong network of industry contacts and strategic accounts;
- Supporting and leading business development projects across the industrial, infrastructure, and mining sectors;
- Organizing and delivering trade missions, seminars, networking events, and B2B programs;
- Representing Business France and participating in major North American industry events and trade shows;
- Collaborating closely with colleagues across the U.S., Canada, and France;
Participating in a structured training program, including sessions in France, to develop your expertise and long‑term career growth.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORRequired Qualifications
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
- Strong presentation and public speaking abilities;
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and eager to learn;
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects;
- Understanding of business processes and organizational structures;
- 3–5 years of professional experience minimum;
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field;
Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications- Proven work experience in Business Development, Sales, Consulting, or a similar client‑facing role;
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, Pardot, Linked In, MS Excel, and business intelligence platforms such as Zoom Info, Nexis, or Pitch Book;
- Experience using sales and marketing engagement tools such as Yesware, Hub Spot Sequences, Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, or similar campaign automation platforms;
- French speaker is a plus;
- A business understanding of the Industry, Infrastructure, Mining or Energy sectors;
International experience is a plus.
