Global Category Leader - Software Sourcing
Level: Senior / Strategic Leadership
About the RoleWe are seeking a senior‑level procurement leader to own global software, SaaS, and cloud sourcing strategy for a complex, regulated enterprise. This role partners closely with Technology, Finance, Legal, and Compliance leaders and drives high‑impact, enterprise‑wide sourcing and negotiation initiatives.
This is a strategic, highly visible role focused on value creation, not transactional buying.
What You'll Do- Lead global sourcing and negotiations for enterprise software, SaaS, and cloud services
- Drive measurable cost savings through long‑term agreements, enterprise programs, and usage‑based models
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across Technology, Finance, Legal, and Compliance
- Own key vendor relationships and oversee performance, governance, and commercial outcomes
- Lead supplier business reviews, benchmarking, and market analysis
- Present sourcing strategies and recommendations to senior leadership
- Mentor and develop team members while improving procurement processes and systems
- 7+ years of experience in IT software procurement and vendor management
- Proven success leading large, complex, multi‑million‑dollar sourcing initiatives
- Strong enterprise‑level negotiation and financial analysis skills
- Experience working cross‑functionally in regulated environments
- Excellent executive‑level communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree required (Business, Finance, or Supply Chain preferred)
- Own global, enterprise‑wide software sourcing strategy
- High visibility with senior leadership
