Senior Consultant, Business Consulting - Transformation

The Role

As a Senior Consultant, you will work on strategic programs dealing with complex, industry-specific requirements, while further deepening knowledge in your respective area of specialization. You will independently deliver high quality solutions and actively build key client relationships.

• Detailed understanding and knowledge of ISO message standards.
• Hands‑on exposure to CBPR+ and FEDNOW/FEDWIRE demands for ISO through at least one full program completed and delivered.
• Deep knowledge of SWIFT, RTGS, SEPA, ISO, reconciliation, disputes across geographies.
• Expert in payment lifecycle and experience with clearing, settlement, refunds, and chargebacks.
• Data solutions for payments monetization, data quality and lineage (can be separate specialist or in combination).
• RTP implementation experiences through products like FINASTRA, FISERV, etc.; a definite advantage.
• Define target payment journeys (P2P, P2M, mandates/Auto Pay, disputes/chargebacks, refunds, reconciliation) with STP and CX targets.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into BRDs, FRDs, EPICs for CBPR+/ISO, RTP rails, RTGS and ACH rails.
• Decent awareness of tech stack under the hood and architectural awareness, a significant plus for hiring success (coverage – micro‑services, cloud deployment, etc.).
• Develop rules and data requirements for fraud, AML, sanctions, risk scoring, and consent; partner with architects to map data lineage (events, telemetry, audit trails).
• Drive UAT, readiness, and go‑live acceptance with measurable KPIs.
• Gather and analyze business requirements, processes, design and develop data maps required to support technology transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the client organization and Infosys on technology transformation programs and initiatives.
• Manage end‑to‑end project execution, stakeholder communication, and minimize engagement risk by proactively identifying issues and recommending remediation courses.
• Support business development activities ranging from leading or contributing to proposals and developing propositions.
• Experience with AI‑assisted tools and automation to accelerate analysis, documentation, testing, and delivery.
• Proficiency with analytics/visualization (PowerBI, Tableau); exposure to risk management and data warehousing platforms.
• Develop market‑relevant points of view to generate and sustain presence in the marketplace.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years of management consulting experience at a top‑tier consulting firm; experience in product management/business analysis within financial services, with hands‑on payment engine delivery experience (consulting preferred) and a proven agile track record delivering complex platforms.
• Experience in one or more domain areas – B2B Payments, Disbursements, Card Payments, Consumer/Retail Payments across origination, processing, clearing and settlement, servicing, and messaging.
• Hands‑on experience with one or more of ISO, electronic payments (Wires, ACH, Immediate Payments) in multiple geographies, cross‑border payments, credit card payments, wallets is a must‑have.
• Hands‑on experience with market‑leading Payment Hub products and Card Processors is a plus.
• At least one or two cycles of bank level payments modernization programs experience.
• Good knowledge and solution implementation experience of products and custom solutions for FedWIREs, Canada Lynx and SWIFT cross‑border payment (high‑value payment solutions).
• Ability to travel as needed (typically up to 4 days/week) to client locations.
