As a global asset manager, our mission is to work in partnership with our clients to create outcome focused solutions to secure their financial future.

Within Nuveen, the Business Strategy & Transformation team is responsible for developing Nuveen’s strategic agenda and delivering a portfolio of strategic initiatives from ideation through execution. The team defines innovative business strategies to accelerate growth and achieve Nuveen’s growth objectives. In addition to organic initiatives, the role will be responsible for inorganic initiatives, including post‑merger integration strategy and implementation.

We are seeking a Senior Associate to collaborate with leaders in the firm to identify, research, develop and execute the firm’s strategic priorities in partnership with investment, product, distribution, marketing, corporate development, technology, legal, and risk stakeholders. The person in this role will support several strategic initiatives through business case development, market analyses, competitive research, capability prioritization, operating model design and project management.

Additionally, this individual will lead cross‑functional projects to build or improve existing firm capabilities. This role provides a unique opportunity to shape the fast‑paced growth trajectory of a leading global asset manager with a differentiated public‑to‑private investment platform. An individual in this role will have a high degree of exposure to the leadership of the firm.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Deliver strategic planning work streams that align with Nuveen’s strengths and vision, including industry and competitive analysis, assessing Nuveen’s growth opportunities, and creating roadmaps
  • Support post‑merger integration work streams to help maximize opportunities related to corporate development initiatives, including business growth initiatives and operating model enhancements
  • Build collaborative relationships with subject matter experts across Product Management, Portfolio Management, Product Marketing, and Information Technology teams to facilitate project delivery and deepen industry knowledge
  • Work closely with the subject matter experts (e.g., Distribution, Marketing, Servicing, Product, IT, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Operations) to gather, document, and refine requirements in our strategic initiatives.
